Delete your BuddyWolfy account

You can delete your account and its data at any time, on the website or in the iOS and Android app.

How to delete your account

On the website

  1. Sign in at buddywolfy.com and open Settings.
  2. In the Account section, choose Delete account.
  3. Review what will be deleted, confirm, and enter the 6-digit code we email you.

In the iOS or Android app

  1. Open the BuddyWolfy app and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile → Delete account.
  3. Confirm, then verify it's you by signing in again or with a code we email you.

What we delete

  • Your profile: email address, username, password and linked Google or Apple sign-in
  • Your vocabulary groups, saved words and the word details you edited
  • Your question boxes
  • Your texts, with their translations and narration audio
  • Your leaderboard points, notifications and usage history
  • Your sign-ins on all devices and your push notification tokens

What we keep

  • References to your Lemon Squeezy orders and subscription (no card details), for up to 10 years, because tax and accounting law requires it.
  • AI usage counts and problem reports you sent, with your identity and messages removed.
  • Copies in our backups, for up to 35 days after your data is erased.

How long it takes

  • Right away: your account is closed, you're signed out on all devices and any active subscription is cancelled.
  • After 7 days: we permanently erase your account and learning data, and email you when it's done.
  • Changed your mind? Email us within those 7 days and we can restore your account. After that, it can't be undone.

Have a subscription?

Deleting your account cancels it, without an automatic refund. You can request a refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing [email protected] (Terms §9.5).

Can't sign in?

Email [email protected] from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm and take care of the rest.
